New Art Exchange (NAE) is a ground breaking, award winning and internationally recognised creative space in the heart of inner city Nottingham. The organisation is dedicated to promoting excellence in contemporary culturally diverse arts through exhibitions, events and engagement initiatives.
We are seeking a knowledgeable, dynamic and experienced Technical Manager to ensure excellence in NAE’s creative technical productions, providing the highest level technical planning and delivery across our creative programme which includes the temporary exhibitions, touring, offsite projects and the live public programme (including festivals). With an agenda rooted firmly in our local communities, NAE creates accessible programmes through the work of world renowned British and international artists. These have included John Akomfrah, Hurvin Anderson, Zarina Bhimji, Nikhil Chopra, Christian Marclay, Elizabeth Price, Larissa Sansour, and Zineb Sedira. We work across artform, and we have a reputation of high quality digital audio visual installations. NAE tours our exhibitions nationally and internationally, and in 2015 we executively produced the East Midland’s premiere presentation at the #56 Venice Biennale.
NAE announced a significant uplift to our core Arts Council funding earlier this year, helping to establish the organisation as the leading venue in the UK for culturally diverse arts. The new Technical Manager will therefore join the organisation at an exciting time, forming an essential part of the Creative Team and helping to expand our programmes with enhanced resources.
