Visitor Experience Manager

With over 1,600 square metres of light-filled gallery spaces, The Hepworth Wakefield is the largest purpose-built exhibition space outside London. Since opening in May 2011 to public and critical acclaim we have welcomed over 1.8 million visitors. The gallery brings together work from Wakefield’s art collection, exhibitions by contemporary artists and rarely seen works by Barbara Hepworth. In July 2017 we were chosen as Art Fund Museum of the Year 2017 and we value all our staff and their commitment to driving this success.

The Visitor Experience Manager will be responsible for ensuring that every visitor to the gallery has a great experience, encouraging them to return and become long term supporters.  This is an extremely varied role which will involve working collaboratively with all teams to ensure the smooth running of visitor operations, management of the visitor experience team (both staff and volunteers), and driving sales of bookings, membership and guidebooks.  You will also be responsible for ensuring that safety, access and security procedures are adhered to across the site.

We are looking for an experienced manager who enjoys engaging visitors, has a passion for excellent customer care and has a drive to exceed expectations. For more information on how to apply please visit www.hepworthwakefield.org/our-story/job-vacancies

The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 29 January 2018.

Interviews will take place on Monday 5 February 2018.
