Visitor Experience Supervisor

The Hepworth Wakefield is looking for an experienced Visitor Experience Supervisor to join us.  You will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the gallery, improving visitor experience and promoting our work.

You will lead and manage a team of Visitor Experience Assistants and Tour Guides, developing a culture of commercial awareness to generate income through membership, donations, tours and event ticket sales. Working alongside the Visitor Experience Manager, you will develop our group tours offer and enhance the experience of booked groups.

The Visitor Experience Supervisor will also act as duty manager on a rota basis ensuring the smooth running of the gallery’s daily operations.

The Hepworth Wakefield has welcomed over 2.3 million visitors since it opened in 2011 and won Art Fund Museum of the Year 2017.  This summer we will open a new gallery garden, designed by the internationally renowned designer Tom Stuart-Smith.  We are also preparing for our autumn exhibition which will feature the work of artists Alan Davie & David Hockney.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week across 5 days, according to a rota. The post will include regular weekend and some evening work. Full availability across all 7 days is essential to the role.
