Visitor Services Retail Supervisor

Nottingham Contemporary is one of largest and leading centres for contemporary art in the UK. We opened in 2009 to great acclaim in a landmark new building by Caruso St John in the middle of Nottingham. We have welcomed over 1.3 million visitors since then. Our programme is mainly devoted to significant  emerging and mid-career contemporary artists, alongside occasional solo exhibitions of modernist and pre-20th century figures that have a particular resonance for artists today.

The Visitor Services Retail Supervisor will be part of the Front of House team, working alongside the Visitor Services Supervisor and a team of buyers for Shop Contemporary. The whole team is focused on delivering the best possible experience for our visitors and our shop is an important component of this.

Nottingham Contemporary’s shop has an excellent reputation as a destination for shoppers. The team work hard to source and display an exceptional range of products and the Visitor Services Retail Supervisor would play a key role in developing the direction of the shop.

Over the last 5 years our Craft Fair has developed into the leading event of its kind in the city. Our Visitor Services Retail Supervisor project manages the event and experience in this area as well as good organisation skills, ability to work with and supervise a team and a drive to deliver the highest standards of work would be highly desirable.

The Visitor Services Supervisor is a keyholding role and you will be expected to duty manage the building.
