Visual Arts Officer (Maternity Cover)  

You will be an active member of the Visual Arts Team and will assess and make recommendations on a range of funding applications as well as contributing to specific development activities related to our priorities in the art form. The post holder will act as lead contact for several funded organisations and contribute to, and support, the wider work of the visual arts sector across Scotland.

The person appointed will work closely with cultural organisations and other key stakeholders to support the delivery of our work.

Our ideal candidate will have a successful track record of project management and demonstrable experience and knowledge of the visual arts sector in Scotland. You will have considerable experience of working with a wide and diverse range of artists and visual arts professionals. You will be able to demonstrate their ability to carry out detailed assessments of proposals and their experience of producing clear reports and recommendations. Experience and understanding of the arts in Scotland, and specifically the visual arts, combined with strong interpersonal skills is essential.
