BLACK: Yesterday
City Arts, 8 Jan – 4 Feb 2021
An exhibition of artwork by Honey Williams. Presented as a visual diary, Yesterday is a profoundly personal survey of art made between 2004 and 2017. It features sketches, collage, illustration, poetry, diary entries and excerpts from blog posts. They highlight some of the uncomfortable conversations relating to anti-black racism, from systemic racism, to colourism, misogynoir and more.
