Elizabeth Hawley-Lingham, Director
Liz is responsible for developing and delivering CVAN EM’s programme of activity in collaboration with the Steering Group, as well as representing and advocating for the Network regionally and nationally, brokering partnerships and developing opportunities, and evaluating its benefits and impact.
In her role, Liz draws on her twenty year experience within the visual arts sector, from roles in the artist-led sphere, public galleries, and arts funding and development. In the last ten years, alongside CVAN EM, she has worked with clients that include UK Young Artists, Birmingham and Coventry Contemporary Art Forums, the Herbert Museum and Art Gallery, Own Art, Turning Point West Midlands (now New Art West Midlands), the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and The New Art Gallery Walsall. Prior to this she worked at Arts Council England, Tate Liverpool and Spike Island. She has a BA Honours Degree in the History of Art and French from the University of East Anglia.
