Elizabeth Hawley, Director
Liz is responsible for developing and delivering CVAN EM’s programme of activity in collaborative with the Steering Group, managing the Network’s external profile and representing it regionally and nationally, brokering partnerships and developing opportunities for it and evaluating its impact and advocating its benefits.
Liz has worked as a freelance visual arts practitioner, specialising in project management, workshop facilitation and professional development. She has worked with clients that include UK Young Artists, Birmingham and Coventry Contemporary Art Fora, the Herbert Museum and Art Gallery, Own Art, Turning Point West Midlands, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and The New Art Gallery Walsall. Prior to this she worked at Arts Council England, Tate Liverpool and Spike Island. She has a BA Hons Degree in the History of Art from the University of East Anglia.
Emma Price, Communications Assistant
Emma is a visual artist based at Two Queens, an artist-run gallery and studios situated in Leicester. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2015, and was selected for The Royal Scottish Academy’s New Contemporaries Exhibition 2016. Her work predominantly focusses on painting and print although her practice expands further in her role with Creative Health West Midlands, delivering a range of participatory art workshops as part of their ‘This Way Up’ programme.
Emma supports CVAN EM by managing our social media activities and producing our newsletter. She’s also leading new initiatives including the takeover of our Instagram profile by our Document artists and Meet the Artist participants.
