Summer Art Trail Artist Residency

Summer Art Trail is a journey between places around Leicester, from 20 to 29 August 2016. Exhibitions and events are held across the city celebrating visual art, film, photography, installation, spoken word and music. The Trail is held in different venues within walking distance of each other and is included as part of Leicester’s City Festival.

Summer Art Trail invites emerging and established artists to apply to our 2016 arts festival with over £2000 worth of studio space, local and national advertising and support. Our two month residency programme (10 June – 31 August) will give the chosen artist the opportunity to create ambitious and contemporary pieces beginning in June in the lead up to the festival. As well as a free studio space at LCB Depot in the heart of Leicester, the selected artist will be guaranteed exhibition space for Summer Art Trail 2016, running alongside Leicester’s City Festival.

Summer Art Trail is devised and organised by Silver Vine Arts, a non-profit, artist-led collective whose mission is to enhance and highlight the arts.
