Artcodes is a new technology that allows users to interact with all manner of decorative imagery and patterns.
Artcodes is a new technology that allows users to interact with all manner of decorative imagery and patterns. As part of collaborative research between both designers and computer scientists at the University of Nottingham, we have developed a new interaction technology that relies upon drawing and creativity to drive it. With artcodes you can scan decorative patterns to trigger digital content and learn how to draw your own interactive patterns. We shall showcase what artcodes can offer by demonstrating how it works, what has previously been done with it and get you to create your own.
This is a ‘Wide angle’ event – open to anybody and providing an inspiring overview of artcodes. This will be followed by a more tailored ‘focus’ event which builds on these foundations in the specific context of your needs (details to be confirmed).
This is a free Workshop from the University of Nottingham and is part of the ERDF-funded LEADDNG Project – introducing SMEs to immersive technologies
