| Join our experienced Play & Learn Facilitators and book your FREE place on our We are Wonderlings workshops.
You and your little one can explore the world through sensory free play, in a safe and stimulating environment. Each session is themed to make every visit special. From babes in arms, to bum shufflers, snoozers and movers, these are workshops for different age categories, just so we can focus on those important developmental stages. Each session is an hour, and takes place in our Space on the following Mondays: Mon 7 Oct Mon 4 Nov Mon 18 Nov Mon 9 Dec (Please wear your festive outfits!)
At these times for the specific age group: 10am – 11am, birth – 12 months 11.30am – 12.30pm, 1 – 2 years 1.30pm – 2.30pm, 2 – 4 years If you have more than one child and they span the age ranges, please book for the older child’s age group. What our participants say: “This is the best thing ever to bring my boys to. It’s completely safe! I know they can’t get out. We came before thinking it would be the same each week, and it’s a completely different set up. It’s fantastic!” Mum Participant We are Wonderlings is supported by the generous donations from our supporters and match funded by the Big Give. We are extremely grateful to you all in supporting our Early Years programme. Sharewear have kindly donated clothing for our Early Years participants for us to set up a clothing swap. Any clothing you no longer need please bring along so we can add to our swap shop. We also have free nappies available just in case you’ve forgotten yours or are running low! Also Make a Day of it, by visiting the Nottingham Central Library, for lots of free fun and it’s just over the road from us! We are taking part in the Robin Hood’s Adventure Trail by It’s in Nottingham, a wonderful and free city-centre mission for you and your family. Click here for all the info. - Our activities are held in our large ground floor area, called The Space.
- Find out about our Play and Learn facilitators before you arrive, Getting to know us: The Play & Learn Team
- We create a sensory and immersive environment.
- There is a smaller designated sensory area in these workshops.
- Adult and child noise reducing headphones are available on request.
- We have a Changing Places facility.
- We are a Breastfeeding Welcome venue.
- All our Play & Learn Facilitators hold a current DBS certificate.
- All our Play & Learn Facilitators have regular safeguarding training.
- We have staff on duty who are First Aid at Work, and Paediatric First Aid, trained.
- We are a member of the Family Arts Campaign and part of the local Nottingham Network Group with our cultural friends.

Entry to our exhibitions and our family activities is free.
Our Gallery Assistants are on hand to support a happy and safe environment. Please help by listening to their guidance and let them know if you need any assistance or guidance during your visit.
We ask for you not to take food and drink inside the exhibitions, however you are more than welcome to have your snacks and drinks if attending our Family Activities in The Space.
