Join us for ‘Picturing Food Justice’ – sharing photography produced through a ten-week participatory programme that addressed issues around food justice, particularly in Nottingham’s NG7 postcode area.

Despite the growing presence of food injustice across the country, the visual representation of these issues has been slow. Through a series of workshops led by photographer Kelly O’Brien with Jagdish Patel, participants learnt photography skills, to produce visual images of their ideas. The group created images to express their experiences of food injustice, and ideas about what food justice might look like – including the experiences of recent arrivals to Nottingham.

The exhibition features photographs by: Richard Afolabi, Sara Aziz Yar, Emily Giddings, Simon Kidane, Filimon Tkabo and John Wheat.

Picturing Food Justice is a collaboration between Off Centre Photography Festival, Himmah and Primary.

This project is part of Nourishment: A cyclical programme and is supported by Real Creative Futures.
