Elizabeth Hawley-Lingham, CVAN EM’s Director of nine and a half years, has left the role to take up a position at Loughborough University teaching professional practice in Art and Design. While she was in post, she championed regional visual arts practice, regionally and nationally, supported a wide community of regionally-based artists, curators and producers, and brokered relationships that impacted artist development and new ideas.
Our Communications Officer, Sam Read, is also moving on. Over the last two and a half years Sam has unstintingly promoted not only CVAN EM’s activity but that of countless artists, producers, and organisations across the region. A founding member of GLOAM, an artist co-op with studios and volunteer-run exhibition space in Sheffield and an Fine Arts History of Art and Cultural Studies MA student at the University of Leeds,
