Artcore Volunteer- Supporting Older People

Time Commitent: Tuesday 10 am-4 pm (Residential Care Homes)/ Thursday 10am-12pm
Role Description:
Our vision is to initiate a dialogue with the community through the medium of art along with engaging, impacting and ensuring that everyone has access to the transformative power of the arts.

Volunteers will support an artist in delivering art workshops to care home residents. They will benefit from experience of delivering an art activity and encouraging expression in participants.
Tasks:
-support art workshops
-organise materials
-help set up and clear away
-assist older people in their activities
-stimulate the participants’ creativity

Location: Artcore Centre- 3 Charnwod Street, Derby DE1 2GT/ Residential Care Homes in the area

NB. To clarify, this event will be held every Thursday, from 10 am to 12 pm, beginning the 2nd of February. We also hold one-off sessions on Tuesdays from 10 am to 4 pm. Volunteers are free to choose whichever option they like. We are flexible with our programme.
