Education & Engagement Officer

Meadow Arts is looking for an enthusiastic and confident person to join our small team as Education & Engagement Officer. The successful person will be organised and a strong communicator. Working closely with the Meadow Arts team, they will support the development and implementation of the Education Strategy and ensure efficient delivery and management of the Meadow Arts Inspires (MAI) programme and engagement activities associated with our exhibitions and Meadow Projects.

The Education & Engagement Officer will be responsible for: the on-going delivery of the education programme to primary and secondary schools across Shropshire, Herefordshire & Worcestershire, extending the programme to cover older students within the F.E. and the university sector in our region; creating the appropriate networks to effectively deliver this work; representing Meadow Arts at all relevant regional meetings and training sessions covering CYP; being the front face of Meadow Arts Inspires across the region; ensuring each project is delivered on time and within budget; ensuring community engagement in Meadow Projects and exhibitions, which are additional to the work of MAI; ensuring thorough evaluation of every project and working with the wider team to integrate all areas of work effectively.

The post holder will also play an important supporting role as a member of the team to:

  • Develop and review the education strategy, and input to education /engagement fundraising applications.
  • Ensure university sector income streams are capitalized upon and that the programme is appropriately monitored and evaluated to feedback to the Trustees and funders.

The successful candidate will be flexible and approachable with an ability to think strategically and creatively, as well as having an eye for detail. They will use their excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with colleagues to develop and maintain external partnerships. The successful applicant will have a passion for being involved in delivering a unique and high quality contemporary arts programme, and a willingness to work within a small and busy team.
