Project Overview:
Our organisation seeks an experienced evaluator for a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) project focusing on the restoration of one of the few remaining EMS Synthi 100 synthesisers. The project involves a condition survey, establishing a steering committee, and launching a public engagement campaign that will lay the groundwork for a broader heritage initiative celebrating this pioneering electronic instrument.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an HLF-compliant evaluation framework.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis where necessary.
  • Measure project outcomes, including restoration impact, community engagement, and technical progress.
  • Report on project efficiency, effectiveness, and future sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure evaluation addresses key project objectives.
  • Production of a robust, actionable evaluation report for future planning and funding opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in evaluating heritage or restoration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HLF evaluation standards and principles.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and presenting findings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of heritage and technical professionals.
