Leicester Museum & Art Gallery Commission: Call for Proposals for Leicester Art Week

As part of the Leicester Visual Arts (LVA) network, Leicester Museum & Art Gallery are seeking proposals from East Midlands-based artists for the creation of an artwork and an engagement activity or workshop. The artwork will be displayed in the museum as part of the Leicester Art Week exhibition programme, 12 – 21 November 2021, and the workshop will also take place in this time period.  

Leicester Art Week 2021 is a visual art festival produced by the LVA network. Leicester Art Week will present a focussed programme of exhibitions, performances and learning events. Our aim is to develop arts audiences in Leicester and raise the profile of the city among regional audiences, artists and peer organisations. The previous Leicester Art Week programmes engaged over 10,000 people from the city and region. LVA network core members are Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester Gallery at De Montfort University, Leicester Print Workshop, Leicester Museum & Art Gallery, LCB Depot, Phoenix, Soft Touch and Two Queens.
