The Art Fund have chosen CVAN EM in partnership with ArtTechSpace to deliver the Art Technician Training Programme which will create equitable access to sustainable career pathways for those from communities currently underrepresented in the arts workforce, via art technician training.
The partnership has come about through identifying a great need in the sector for a unified approach to art technicians entering the workforce, supporting existing technicians in their professional development and providing opportunities for them to contribute to a growing network.
Our project will include:
- Developing core training modules that can be replicated and built upon across the UK
- Advanced training sessions responding to a need identified within the technician community
- Subsidised external training such as PASMA, IPAF and First Aid
- The creation of an online and evolving national resource to support technician professional development and networking
