Common Ground – Community Land Art Project

We are inviting artists to take part in Common Ground, a year-long community land art and environmental arts project taking place on common land. Lincoln’s commons are historic shared landscapes, shaped over centuries by collective use and care, and remain publicly owned natural spaces held in common for the benefit of everyone who lives in and visits the city. We are looking for artists who work outdoors and in partnership with the land, co-create with communities, and explore the relationship between people, creativity and place. The programme includes: - 12 monthly outdoor creative sessions across the year - 4 larger-scale collaborative sessions, where two artists work together with the community - A final public exhibition and photographic showcase All sessions take place outdoors on Lincoln’s commons and are free for participants.
