Barber Health Coordinator

The Barber Institute of Fine Arts are seeking an exceptional individual to join the team in the role of Barber Health Coordinator.

Barber Health is the Barber’s flagship engagement programme which places arts, health and wellbeing at the heart of the Barber’s audience engagement, learning and outreach programme.  As communities and the healthcare sector process lockdown and living with Covid-19, we’re asking how can the Barber best support them in their Covid-19 recovery?  Barber Health consists of two strands that work holistically together- a creative arts, health and wellbeing programme for hyperlocal communities which will run alongside innovative cultural contributions to medical education at the University of Birmingham.

The new role of Barber Health Coordinator is key to the successful delivery of this project.  Partnership working is essential and the Coordinator will work closely with the Barber Health team, including our new Nurse in Residence and key community and University partners.  The post holder will contribute to the design and delivery of creative, innovative Covid-safe Barber Health activities and resources that utilise and share the Barber’s collection effectively.  The Coordinator will also be responsible for project administration, logistical planning and effective communication.

The role of Barber Health Coordinator sits within the Learning and Engagement team which is part of the Barber’s Public Engagement team.

We are open to hearing from candidates with relevant past experience from a wide range of transferable settings who possess the skills and motivation required to work in arts and health engagement.
