Eden Arts is seeking to appoint consultants on flexible contracts to deliver the study into the potential development of the geographical region defined by the route of the A66 that runs between the west coast of Cumbria and the Tees Mouth in the east.
This major initiative, supported by all the local authorities along the route and Arts Council England, seeks to establish how the route can serve as a key driver in cultural and economic development through the auditing of what exists, the creation of an identity and a blueprint for what could be future developments.
The notional study areas are:
- Culture
- Infrastructure – routes, destinations, assets
- Economy – tourism
- Heritage (pending an award from HLF)
