Creative workshop leader

The Wollaton Arts Festival Steering Group are seeking Nottingham based artists and crafts-people to deliver 1.5 hour creative workshops, structured as taster sessions for different art forms, in community settings for both young people and adults.

Last year was the first year of the Wollaton Arts Festival, which was extremely successful. Therefore, this year we would like to include more creative activities and reach more of the community.

The 2017 Wollaton Arts Festival launches on Saturday 1st July, with arts workshops taking place during the week in youth groups, sewing clubs and other social associations until our closing celebration event on Sunday 16th July at Wollaton Park.

We want to offer a diverse range of creative, artistic activities to give people a chance to try something new, which would spark their creativity and enjoyment of the arts.

We would like to arrange some sessions to be delivered in the evening and some to be delivered during the day, so that the events are available for everyone and fit in with people’s busy lifestyles.

We are offering £75 per workshop to include planning and preparation time. We will provide the materials for the workshop within reason. Let us know so that we can decide if this is within our budget.

If you feel you can deliver a workshop as part of the Festival, send us a proposal of what you can offer including: a description of the activity, the maximum number of people per workshop, the age range it’s suitable for, an estimate of material costs and whether you would be available evenings or daytime during the Festival week Monday 10th – Friday 14th July.

Email your proposals by 5pm on Wednesday 29th March to Karmen.Ong@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
