Curator of Exhibitions

Leeds City Museum is seeking to appoint a Curator of Exhibitions, who will work closely with colleagues on the development and delivery of an inspirational, challenging yet accessible and socially inclusive exhibition programme as part of the overall visitor experience of Leeds City Museum and in line with Leeds Museums and Galleries’ objectives.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced in exhibition management and with a strong interest in the history of Leeds and commitment to working with local communities.

Leeds City Museum is part of Leeds Museums and Galleries which is run by Leeds City Council. The venue won the Kids in Museums Family Friendly Museum of the Year Award 2018 and welcomes around 300,000 visitors each year. https://museumsandgalleries.leeds.gov.uk/leeds-city-museum/

Leeds Museums and Galleries is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and this post is funded through NPO. The post is currently funded until 31 March 2022. The salary is £29,636 – £31,371.
