General Manager (Finance and Admin)

At Haarlem Artspace we champion rural contemporary creativity, connecting and sustaining professional rural artists and creatives from our base in the inspiring and historic, grade II* listed Haarlem Mill, Wirksworth, Derbyshire.

We now have three floors of unique, flexible studio space for artists and creatives, and offer a programme of residencies, critiques and continuing professional development activities, as well as stimulating exhibitions, audio-video nights, artist and academic talks also of interest to the general public. We’re a not-for-profit organisation; registered as a community interest company with a small team of Directors.

Haarlem Artspace turned 2 in May and we’re growing quickly. We’ve started to develop our education and outreach activities and a consultancy offer to creatives and arts organisations. It’s an exciting time to be here, and we’re looking for our first member of staff to join us on the journey.

We’re seeking an intelligent and experienced General Manager to take responsibility for the company’s day-to-day financial management and admin needs, and support our fundraising. Initially, this is just 1 day/week but there’s scope for this to grow. In return, we can can offer flexible hours and a fantastic working environment, and a pro rata salary of £25K per annum plus pension.
