Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) is an exciting, ambitious arts centre which offers a wide array of free exhibitions, theatre, music, cinema and comedy as well as creative learning and participation activities. Well-loved and well used, it attracts a diverse mix of visitors, over 1million visits annually. MAC’s work also extends outside of the venue across the city to community settings to inspire new audiences to experience high-quality art.
We wish to recruit a Head of Development, a highly effective communicator who has a successful track record of fundraising and donor development in the not-for-profit or cultural sector. Your experience will include cultivating and stewarding successful relationships with individual and institutional donors as well as writing funding applications, managing relationships with business partners and devising cultivation events.
This is a new role which requires a special combination of people-skills, creativity and organisation, – a great opportunity for the right candidate. Outstanding relationship management and networking ability will need to be complemented by a high level of organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload. Above all, the ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for the arts and conviction of its important role in society.
