This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, confident, and creative marketing professional, with experience in a similar organisation, to join Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) as Head of Marketing & PR.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Head of Marketing & PR, working with the Deputy Director, will be responsible for planning and implementing YSP’s marketing and PR strategy and developing YSP’s digital and social media presence in order to raise and maintain profile and awareness, attract a diverse audience and help to generate income and to safeguard and develop the YSP brand. With the management of a small marketing team and developing and managing a marketing budget, working collaboratively across all functions will be essential.

This is a full-time, permanent post, in a salary range of £30k – £35k p.a. dependent on experience.
Founded in 1977 YSP was the first sculpture park in the UK, and is the largest of its kind in Europe. Named Art Fund Museum of the Year in 2014. YSP celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2017. It is an independent charitable trust and registered museum situated in a 500-acre, 18th-century estate in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Open all year round, and with free admission, YSP attracts around 500,000 visitors each year from all over the UK and overseas. This includes around 45,000 participants in a vibrant learning and community outreach programme.
YSP reaches similar numbers through its digital channels with around 500k annual users on the website and a combined social following of over 170k. In 2017, global reach through press coverage totalled 269.7 million with an overall PR value of £31.3 million.
In 2019, YSP will open an additional £3.6 million visitor centre to further extend our visitor experience.
