Head of Marketing, PR & Digital Communications

New Art Exchange (NAE) is a ground breaking, award winning and internationally recognised arts space in the heart of inner city Nottingham. The venue is dedicated to igniting aspiration and promoting excellence in culturally diverse, contemporary visual arts. We do this through exhibitions, engagement initiatives, special projects and international partnerships. We support both emerging talent and critically acclaimed artists that have included: John Akomfrah, Zarina Bhimji, Hurvin Anderson, Keith Piper and Larissa Sansour. NAE has a local/global focus: we’re committed to developing accessible programmes that inspire local culturally diverse audiences, whilst also leading ambitious international projects (such as the EM15 pavilion at the #56 Venice Biennale), to showcase the wealth of creative talent residing in our city and region.

We are seeking to appoint a creative and energetic Head of Marketing, PR and Digital Communications to help drive us through an exciting phase of our development. The post holder will lead a marketing team and strategically design and deliver our marketing activity in order to maximise attendance to NAE and develop our profile locally, nationally and internationally.

You will be a highly motivated, passionate and a committed professional, with at least three years experience of marketing, communications and audience development at a senior and strategic level.

Applicants should also have an understanding of, or the desire to develop an understanding of cultural diversity, contemporary artistic practice, and the nuances of public venues with a focus on both arts/culture and community.
