Mayday: Moving Image Open – Call for Submissions

Surface Gallery invites all artists, filmmakers, animators and creatives to enter Mayday, our moving image open show.

The exhibition will be a celebration of moving image shorts, with all submissions needing to be three minutes or less. Any theme, style or content will be accepted. Mayday will be embracing chaos by randomly shuffling the entries, no-one will know which piece will play next, by embracing randomness new connections between pieces will be created.

Mayday will transform the Main Gallery into a screening space for two days. We will endeavour to present all submissions in the exhibition, though when your piece will be projected is up to chance. Investigative, innovative and experimental approaches are encouraged.

Deadline for submissions is midnight Friday 24th April 2020
