National Contemporary Visual Arts Network Director

The Contemporary Visual Arts Network (CVAN) represents and supports a diverse and vibrant visual arts ecology, embracing a broad range of artistic and curatorial practice. There are 11 networks located across the nine English regions which collectively form the Contemporary Visual Arts Network

We are currently recruiting a National CVAN Director to lead the overall strategy and operations of CVAN, working with its members to help shape the future direction of the network. We are looking to appoint a visionary and exceptional leader to build on the recent success of the network and take CVAN forward.

The National CVAN Director, which is hosted and managed by BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, leads the strategic vision and acts as a national point of contact for the network. The Director will also oversee key external contracts along with other national programmes of work.

Possessing experience at a similar level within the visual arts sector along with strong leadership and project management skills, the successful candidate will coordinate and manage the work of the Contemporary Visual Arts Network.

Outstanding communication skills is essential for this role, along with the ability to strategically develop networks and experience in developing and maintaining relationships at a high level.
