Part Time Project Manager- SSN for Islamic Art

The Subject Specialist Network for Islamic Art and Material Culture (SSN IAMC) seeks an experienced, part-time project manager to deliver an exciting new programme of activity from March 2019 to June 2020.

The IAMC is based at Birmingham Museums but you’ll be co-ordinating activities across England with a range of museums and experts in Islamic Art and Material Culture. You’ll need to be free to visit these organisations and be able to attend meetings with committee members as required.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication and co-ordination skills, who understands the opportunities and challenges of working in the museum sector. The ability to deliver projects to tight deadlines and be able to work to a budget are also essential skills. You don’t need any specialist knowledge of Islamic Art and Material Culture but previous work with collections more broadly and / or diverse audiences would be an advantage.

Fee: £32,000 (128 days over 16 months @£250 per day) plus £800 travel expenses
