Senior Fundraising Manager – Grants and Legacy Giving

The National Portrait Gallery houses a unique collection of all forms of portraiture of the people who have made or are currently contributing to British history and culture; the collection is the most comprehensive of its kind in the world. With around 2 million visitors each year and a strong national and international presence through touring exhibitions and special projects, the Gallery is one of the country’s most important and popular galleries.

Alongside this the role will oversee relationships with other trusts and foundations giving significant support to this project, and will seek to secure additional support for the capital project.

We are looking for ambitious candidates who have substantial fundraising or experience in a related field, preferably gained within the arts or museum sector, alongside demonstrable strategic planning experience. They will have experience of complex database management, particularly working knowledge of CRM databases, alongside strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
