UKNA City Takeover: Leicester 2021

UK New Artists is seeking up to 70 new artists from across the UK to takeover the city of Leicester for a long weekend.

Exhibitions, performance, music, writing and film will animate cultural spaces and unusual places, presenting the work of emerging practitioners at the leading edge of contemporary arts. In parallel, artists can participate in one of three collaborative residencies, exploring Sustainability, Placemaking and Common Interest, respectively.

The City Takeover is a unique opportunity and experience for artists. Be inspired by the range of work that you can see by your fellow artists from across the UK, and share your own work with new audiences and your peers. Enjoy exploring a new city and take part in talks and workshops with leading professionals and artists.

Artists will receive a £100 fee, plus accommodation, travel bursary, artwork shipping, food and all technical/venue costs are covered by UKNA.
