Made in Corby are working with Pen Green Centre for Children and their Families to create a sculpture or installation on the subject of light. The final product will be displayed as part Grow Festival in Corby town centre on the evenings of the 7th & 8th February 2020. The work will then become a permanent fixture in one of Pen Green’s garden or play areas.
All of Made in Corby’s work is delivered in collaboration with the community. We are looking for a Visual Artist to create a final sculpture, object or installation inspired by work created by children. You will also be working collaboratively with a Composer and Dance/Movement Facilitator.
The Visual Artist must be available for the following dates in Corby: 16th, 21st and 22nd January 2020
The sessions with the choreographer and composer are scheduled for the week commencing 13th January and the final product must be ready to be displayed by 7th February 2020 in time for the opening of Grow Festival.
The artist will be selected in collaboration with the children at Pen Green therefore shortlisted artists will be asked to deliver a taster session to the children during the first week of December 2019.
