Commissioning Producer

Artis Community works primarily across the county of Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales, and is the highest Arts Portfolio Wales funded community arts company in Wales. Established in 1987, we aim to provide the highest quality participatory arts activities and to transform the lives of those individuals and communities we work with.

Artis Community is embarking on a new artistic and business strategy that places social benefit at the heart of all our work. We are looking for the right person to join our staff team of CEO, Company Manager and Executive Assistant.

The main role of the Producer is to lead our projects and recruit a wide range of highly skilled and creative freelance community artists across all artforms, with principal responsibility to develop opportunities for professionally led community arts activities, projects and workshops for all sections of the community

  • to encourage high quality participatory arts activities for individuals and communities;
  • to maximise social and economic benefits; specifically  outcomes which improve people’s health and well-being, will improve people’s skills and employment opportunities and those which help to create a new creative economy in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
