Join us at The Arches at Fineshade Wood Friday 28 July for the launch of Owl Project’s exhibition The Algorithm in the Forest and Edwina fitzPatrick’s book Archive of the Trees: A Woodland Guide.

The Algorithm in the Forest is a multichannel video and sound installation that explores how natural systems have inspired algorithms that impact how we experience our daily lives. The installation will be informed by work made with students from Newton Road School and by members of the public. The artists will be giving a talk during the event about this work and their process.

Archive of the Trees: A Woodland Guide combines scientific data with cultural anecdotal information, taking a local approach to a complex global phenomenon. Free copies of the book will be available at the launch event and are available to purchase now through our website for just £12 (including postage and packaging).

Owl Project (Simon Blackmore, Antony Hall and Steve Symons) are the third of four residencies at The Arches at Fineshade Wood. Edwina fitzPatrick was our first.
