Artwork Apprentice | CVAN East Midlands

Ohh Deer are looking for an artwork apprentice to join the design team. As part of the team you will be editing and preparing artwork for print across a range of products, including greeting cards and stationery and you will also mock up and make samples of new products.

As part of your role, you will get to understand and ensure the integrity of each concept brief from the design team and following brand guidelines. Supported by the team, you will also be liaising with suppliers’ pre-press teams and upload finished artwork.

Duties and Responsibilities of the role:

To artwork products ensuring they’re ready for production in line with client expectations.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure art worked files meet their requirements and time scales.
Produce in-house hand-made samples of new products.
Assist with catalogue versioning and other marketing material.
To provide support to the design team with other duties as delegated by the Lead Designer.
To follow and adhere to brand guidelines.
Liaise with suppliers and upload/send finished artwork, meeting required deadlines.
To undertake ad hoc projects as required meeting the needs of the business.
To contribute to process and systems development, through making suggestions and recommendations to the directors, in order to assist in the growth and success of the Company.
To assist colleagues and to support the Company generally, through undertaking additional duties and tasks from time to time as and when required.
Additional duties may include: designing marketing material, web pages, catalogues etc.
