Nottingham Contemporary, one of the UK’s leading centres for contemporary art, is seeking a new Head of Public Programmes and research. The postholder will lead on the development of the institution’s acclaimed cross-disciplinary programme of events (lectures, symposia, study groups, screenings, exhibition talks, conferences, etc), connecting with and expanding on Nottingham Contemporary’s ambitious artistic programme an its location in the city.
The Public Programmes is an innovative partnership with Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham, who support the programme. The Head of Public Programmes and Research will contribute to development and supervision the public programme, the research programme, placements and course modules with the two universities, and he or she will manage the gallery’s relationship with them.
The postholder will have strong self-initiative, will be a natural collaborator, and have excellent relationship management skills. He or she will be a confident speaker, and have excellent communication skills in person and in writing.
