The Opportunity
Axis seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Administrator, who will assist our small team at an arts charity committed to supporting and promoting artists.
We are looking for a highly organised individual with a proven track record of administration who can demonstrate flexibility across the organisation’s varied activities. You will have a keen eye for accuracy, the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively, and importantly, experience creating systems to support colleagues with forward planning through reliable and timely administration.
Prior experience administering in the arts is a benefit, but not necessarily a requisite: our main requirement is that you are committed to the role and can get behind our organisational values!

Hours: Average of 2 days per week (Flexible)
Fee: £100-125 per day depending on experience
Location: Virtual
Contract Period: 6 months
Purpose of the Role

To establish new systems to ensure the smooth running and successful administration of all parts of the charity
-
To provide effective administrative support to Axis colleagues during a period of organisational growth and development
Skills and Experience Required:
-
At least 3 years of experience in an administrative role
-
Able to demonstrate success and experience in establishing and maintaining effective administrative systems
-
Financial administration and reporting
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
-
Excellent organisational abilities and strong attention to detail
-
Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and independent timekeeping.

Proficient in the use of digital tools in particular G-Suite
-
The ability to manage workload and prioritise task requests
Key Tasks
This is not necessarily a comprehensive list of tasks, but is intended to give a good feel for the content of the role.

Provide general administrative support across the organisation and its current projects, including Social ARTery, Social Art Library, Vacant Spaces, and Social Art Network partnership

Support financial processes such as processing / sending invoices, monitor reconciling income streams, and maintaining accurate records.

To provide administrative support to the Membership scheme

Maintain the administrative systems to coordinate Axisweb’s Vacant Space network of properties
-
Support the communication of Axisweb Campaigns, Events, Projects, including generating and collating content for marketing materials, updating of the website and various digital / social media platforms

Support the compliance with charity, legal and funding requirements
Key relationships
The Administrator will have contact with a wide range of people, both inside and outside the organisation and will be required to be friendly, professional, helpful and sensitive.
