Artcore Gallery will present an international touring exhibition of reproductions by Felix Nussbaum (1904 – 1944) from The Felix Nussbaum Foundation, based in Osnabrück, Germany. This is an international project that aims to raise awareness about the incredible artists work.
It is hoped that there will be greater global awareness of the significance of the painter Felix Nussbaum for 20th century art. That is one of the Felix Nussbaum Foundation’s objectives.
With this in mind, 20 reproductions of Nussbaum’s most important works were shown in Haarlem (Netherlands) in early 2020, in what was the first stop of a touring exhibition. The exhibition have travelled to Minsk, Warsaw and now to Derby.
The occasion of this exhibition also celebrates the relationship between Derby and Osnabrück as twinned cities.
Exhibition Launch is on 24th June 6-8pm. Available to view until 28th July, Mon-Fri 12-4pm.
