Two Queens Summer School
6th June – 4th September 2016

Two queens summer school provides artists who are currently studying or just graduated an opportunity to access affordable studio facilities and artist development opportunities during their summer break.

The scheme is open to students aged 18+ who will be resident in Leicester/shire for most of the period between June and August. Students can be between academic years of any level course (foundation, BA or MA, any subject) or graduating from a course in June 2015.

The cost of the summer school is £100 and includes:
– 3 months studio space, measuring 2.5 x 2.5m, inclusive of bills and wifi with 24/7 access.
– crits, reading groups and mentoring with peer group and two queens directors.
– Work towards producing artwork for exhibition as part of a two queens members exhibition at the end of August 2015.
– 12 months of two queens associate membership.

To apply for the summer school please send an email to info@2queens.com including a statement of no more than 250 words outlining your artistic practice (also state what course you are studying/graduating from and your home address during the summer months) and weblinks to up to 5 images of recent work/video clips.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 15th may.
