Volunteer and Projects Coordinator

York Mediale is an international media arts festival which will explore the vital link between technology and arts in every form. Through incorporating technologies into their works, artists of all kinds will use media to redefine and tell the stories of our cities, our landscapes and our lives.

They will blow apart traditional genres and introduce art squarely to the future.

It will be challenging, it will be inspiring and it will be a lot of fun.

The programme of events for York Mediale 2018 is developing at pace and we now need a Volunteer Coordinator with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. The successful candidate will be able to work on a freelance basis to recruit, train and coordinate a team of volunteers for the festival.

We need a friendly and enthusiastic person to be the point of contact for the Volunteer team. You will coordinate a volunteer database; manage communications with volunteers; craft agreements and role descriptions, help with expenses claims. You will be the key person managing York Mediale volunteer engagement; recruitment; training; welfare and evaluation.
