About

Focusing on the logistics needed to make an event happen, we’ll delve into the process of planning. This session will be largely fuelled by our conversations, focusing on our shared knowledge and experiences through which we’ll explore:

– how different dates and times can impact your event

– things to consider when choosing venues

– managing working with others, be it speakers or co-facilitators

– crafting marketing materials which resonate with your audience

– what timelines and deadlines to set yourself

– getting the most of your budget and where to gain support

Lastly, we’ll discuss how to do all this while keeping your attendee’s needs and your own values in mind. You don’t need to have a clear event idea to join, you can simply use this space for brainstorming, exploration or inspiration. Throughout our conversation we’ll be connecting our ideas on paper, resulting in a big collaborative paper map which we’ll build on throughout this 1525 DIY series.
