Join us for our Creative Community Day in the gallery!

We’ll have a range of creative activities available including making a sketchbook, thinking about colour emotions, and exploring secrets and layers through drawing. All of these activities are inspired by our current exhibition ‘Lost in the World’ by Jagjit Kaur. Come and explore the show and artworks made by young people and local families.

The workshop is based in our gallery at Modern Painters, New Decorators in Carillon Court Shopping Centre. Free refreshments will be available.

Please book a ticket for all members of your group, including adults and children.

Drop in anytime between 11am and 1pm.

About Archive Fever

‘Archive Fever’ is a new four-part project about collecting and collections hosted by Modern Painters, New Decorators, funded by Arts Council England and produced in partnership with Leicestershire Museums Collection. It consists of four solo visual art exhibitions alongside a programme of creative workshops for visitors and young people. Joanne Masding, Jagjit Kaur, Dan Cowlam and Katie Schwab will each produce new work in response to the items held in the Leicestershire Museums Collection.

Taking place over 2022 at our gallery space in Carillon Court Shopping Centre, the exhibitions are open to the public.
