The University of Nottingham curatorial collective – Crop Up Gallery – explores ideas of artistic legitimacy in the age of the internet. Parodying the age-old question of ‘what is art?’, students have drawn on aspects of cyber-culture to examine the decaying relationship between traditional artistic classifications and contemporary art.
