Surface Gallery is excited to present Horizon, an exhibition showcasing the works of international and UK students completing the MA Photography and MA Commercial Photography courses at Nottingham Trent University.
Horizon encompasses projects that engage with a range of subjects from fashion, to patriarchy, to ethnicity. While each photographer retains the integrity of their vision, the work is linked through the common thread of dedicated research, experimentation, and refinement, in the pursuit of mastering their artistry. The photographers explore a variety of techniques and methods, using both analogue and digital practices. The exhibition will display; photographic prints, installations and photo-books as well as a collection of professional portfolios. Horizon offers its audience a refreshing way to look at the genre of photography.
Join us for the opening night, where there will be music from Joseph Knight. Joseph has established himself as an accomplished singer-songwriter within the local music scene, playing festivals such as Dot to Dot, Y Not and Splendour.
Horizon opens in both the Main Gallery and the Project Space. As always, there will be a donations bar with ales from local brewery, Springhead.
