Join artist and filmmaker Jenny Holt for a day using technology in nature to create a unique narrative of our surroundings. Participants will use cameras, sound equipment and editing software to produce a time-based audio/visual piece of work reflecting the rhythms of Fermyn Woods in autumn.

Participants will explore the relationship between the living energy of the forest and different methods of capturing sound and image, from which a shared conversation between us, the forest, and the means of capture we use can emerge. The workshop will begin with a presentation from the artist about her own methods of practice, a process in which ‘form’ emerges from a dialogue between specific places and artistic practice. The workshop will involve experimentation with methods of filming and recording, towards the creation of a short piece of sound or moving image practice as a response to narratives and rhythms of the forest.
