Artistic Director & CEO

NN Contemporary Art seeks to appoint a dynamic creative entrepreneur as its new Artistic Director & CEO to lead on delivering a dynamic visual arts programme and expand our outreach and community programmes across our region.

NN is a contemporary art space in the centre of Northampton. We work with artists at all stages of their careers to present an international programme of contemporary art and multi-disciplinary events. In a relatively short time, NN has become a highly respected and active member of the international contemporary visual arts community, still recognising its vital role in engaging with local talent and the wider community living and working closer to home.

In 2018, following a successful project-based funding relationship through Grants for the Arts, NN attained Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation status and continues to enjoy longstanding associations with a range of strategic delivery partners who share our values and commitment to nurture and sustain a vibrant creative ecology.

Our position has never been stronger thanks to the significant contribution made by our outgoing Artistic Director, Catherine Hemelryk who leaves NN this summer. The Board now seeks to appoint a dynamic creative entrepreneur to take up the role of Artistic Director & CEO to lead the organisation through an exciting period of change as we look to widen our reach further, build new partnerships and create a new home for ourselves in Northampton.

The successful candidate will bring a range of creative leadership skills and an ability to be a strong advocate for the visual arts combined with a flair to further enhance our resilience, as we look to embark on the next chapter on our organisation’s fast-moving development.
