Nottingham’s ‘hidden gem’, Bromley House Library, is 200 years old in 2016. In celebration of this special birthday, we are excited to present our first ever ‘Secret Postcard Show’.
We’d love as many people as possible to be involved in this event: established and aspiring artists, non-artists, the famous and the not-so-famous, library members, and all ‘friends’ (young and old, local, national and international!) of Bromley House.
Participation will be free of charge, and any style or medium is acceptable – including photographs, painting, drawing, textile, text and print. The only restriction is that every submission should be on a 4” x 6” (10.5 x 15cm) postcard, with a maximum depth of 5mm.
We expect the resulting exhibition, to be held in November and December, to be fantastically colourful and diverse! All postcards will be displayed anonymously, and will be available to purchase at a cost of £10 per postcard, proceeds from the sales going to The Renewal Trust in support of their community projects in St. Ann’s, Sneinton and Mapperley.
