Call out for Volunteers: Doug Fishbone’s Leisure Land Golf

Are you looking for work experience within a contemporary art gallery? Do you want to develop your CV and gain valuable skills in a gallery environment?

Are you available to offer regular time between the 2 July and 4 September 2016?

QUAD, Derby is looking to recruit a team of volunteers to support the delivery of our next exhibition: Doug Fishbone’s Leisure Land Golf – a 10-hole fully playable mini golf course with each hole designed by a leading contemporary artist.

We are asking people to commit to 6 – 12 hours a week (2 x 3 hr shifts or 1 x 6 hr shift minimum) over the exhibition period.

Volunteers will gain experience in:
• Working with art by internationally acclaimed artists (including Yinka Shonibare MBE; John Akomfrah, Doug Fishbone and Lindsay Seers)
• Supporting artists in the delivery of talks/events
• Interacting with the public and discussing contemporary art with different audiences
• Invigilation, marketing and the running of a contemporary art gallery
