Collection & Exhibitions Manager

We are seeking an experienced Collection & Exhibitions Manager to support the curatorial team in collection care and the delivery of a world-class exhibitions programme at one of the UK’s most successful public art galleries. The Hepworth Wakefield has welcomed over two million visitors since opening in May 2011 and is now firmly established as a major local, national and international attraction, winning Art Fund Museum of the Year in 2017.

We present an outstanding programme of historical and contemporary exhibitions alongside displays drawn from The Hepworth’s collection of 20th-century and contemporary art. In an expansion of our waterfront site, in Summer 2019 we will open outdoor sculpture displays in a new Hepworth Wakefield Garden, designed by Tom Stuart-Smith.

The postholder will lead on the museum’s registrarial work, managing a programme of care and conservation for the collection, and scheduling and managing the delivery of all exhibitions and collection displays.
